In the vibrant heart of Sta. Rosa, Laguna—within a thriving commercial strip—a flavorful transformation unfolded over five months of focused construction. The project: bb.q Chicken Sta. Rosa, a 100-square-meter restaurant that merges culinary excellence with thoughtful, turn-key design and engineering.
This initiative was executed as a Turn-key Facility Fit-out Construction Project, utilizing a complete Design and Build approach. Our team led every phase—from initial concept to final inspection—delivering architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works, along with technology integrations such as POS systems, CCTV, and auxiliary systems. We also managed the full process of obtaining all necessary LGU Building and Occupancy Permits, as well as the Business Permit.
Unified Vision, Seamless Execution
By serving as the general contractor under a Design and Build model, we ensured a seamless translation of the client’s vision into reality. The design focused on achieving bb.q Chicken’s global aesthetic while addressing the spatial and operational demands of a compact site. Every square meter was optimized to support staff efficiency and enhance the dining experience.
Engineering Within Constraints
One of the major challenges was integrating Civil and MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) systems into a limited space without sacrificing design integrity. Each utility—whether ductwork, conduit, or piping—was concealed or blended into the architecture to preserve the restaurant’s modern and inviting ambiance.
Warm, strategic lighting draws guests in, while an efficient ventilation system maintains a comfortable divide between kitchen and dining zones. Behind the scenes, engineering precision supports a customer-facing environment that feels effortlessly refined.
Bridging Global Brand with Local Identity
The interiors respect bb.q Chicken's international branding, but incorporate subtle local touches as a tribute to the Sta. Rosa community. Seating is arranged to promote both intimacy and flow, while acoustic treatment ensures kitchen sounds add to the atmosphere rather than overwhelm it. Materials were chosen not only for their durability and hygiene but also for their aesthetic warmth and style.
More Than a Build — An Experience
Beyond bricks and systems, this project was about crafting a meaningful customer journey. For the client, it was the launch of a global Korean fried chicken icon in a fresh market. For us, it was the opportunity to build not just a restaurant, but a destination—where food, comfort, and experience intersect.
With the successful handover of this commercial fit-out, bb.q Chicken Sta. Rosa now stands as a testament to vision, craftsmanship, and cross-discipline collaboration. It’s more than a space—it’s a story brought to life.
